2010

The
2010 Entertainment Savings Book is now available. It has something
for everyone and you can start using the money savings coupons as
soon as you get your book. It pays for itself in just a few uses,
because it is loaded with 50% off discounts on things most people
do every day. Give the gift that is always the perfect size, color
and style. Give the gift of Entertainment. For friends and family,
a year's worth of savings on dining, shopping, travel, recreation
and much more, makes a great gift for any occasion.
You can order the "Greater Seattle / Eastside
Book" for our special reduced rate of $20.00, from any BAEOP
member, the Office Manager at your school or by contacting Christy
Ansari at (4595).
Each book sold results in $8.00 going into the
Scholarship Fund. This supporst the children of BSD classified staff
members! Last year we gave out three $500.00 scholarships.

Recycling Printer Cartridges
and Cell Phones
BAEOP is currently participating in a recycling program that enables
us to turn recycled items into cash for our Scholarship Fund.
The following items can be recycled:
- Empty Inkjet Cartridges
- Empty Laser Cartridges
- Used Cell Phones
- Laptops (power cords must be included)
- PDAs (Palm Pilots)
- Video games
- DVD movies
- Portable DVD Player
- MP3 Players
- Digital Cameras
- Digital Photo Frames
- GPS Devices
Members can collect these items from:

- Home
- Friends
- Family
- Neighbors

Recycling Aluminum
We are also recycling aluminum cans. If anyone has some cans to
donate, please contact Paula
Jo Brave to make appropriate arrangements.
Recycling Newspaper
BAEOP members are also turning newspapers into cash. We have had
two containers - one container is located at ESC and the other is
at Robinswood. We would like to encourage other employees to join
us in this endeavor and bring their newspapers from home and deposit
them at one one of these sites.

This year we had four drawings for an opportunity
to win a $25.00 gift card at our Fall Homecoming (general membership
meeting) on October 27.

This year BAEOP provided several items to be raffled,
with net proceeds of $667.00 going to the BAEOP Scholarship Fund
“Goodies Galore” was won by Tina Gerard,
the Attendance Specialist at Interlake High;. The “Gift Card Collection”
with a value of more than $100.00, was won by Linda Matasumoto,
a Lead Preschool Teacher at Clyde Hill; “Springtime in the Garden”
was won by Liz VandenBerghe Office Manager at Odle
Middle; and the final prize, Digital Photo Frame was won by DeAnne
Ballinger, Senior Financial & Report Analyst at ESC.
